His Truth, Not Mine, The Tie

A few verses from the hymn I Hear the Words of Love:

'Tis everlasting peace!
Sure as Jehovah's Name,
'Tis stable as His steadfast throne,
For evermore the same.

The clouds may go and come,
And storms may sweep my sky;
This blood-sealed friendship changes not,
The Cross is ever nigh.

I change, He changes not;
The Christ can never die;
His love, not mine, the resting-place,
His truth, not mine, the tie.

I like the line "I change, HE changes not". You can ask Sam and Chloe what that means.....they should say immutable....or something like that! The kids were great, we made lots of memories. Keep up the good work! Our next party will be a 'Purim Party' around the middle of March. I can't wait!!

Hi Lois......just read your comment on my blog. I know just how your feel about the North Country, but I would give anything to have a real winter. We've been here over 23 years now and I still don't like Kansas winters, since I was raised in Northern Minnesota, Storybook Camp area.

Thanks for the Hymn Jeremy, I love these old ones! It is so encouraging, on a day when I needed it!
